InstaSights vs. PickFu for a consumer study
The main difference is who—or what—produces the answers. PickFu documents human feedback; InstaSights generates simulated consumer responses.

What we checked
InstaSights publishes this comparison and sells one of the products discussed. We reviewed PickFu’s public workflow, survey and pricing pages on September 27, 2026. This is a documentation-based comparison, not a hands-on performance test. We have not established which product is faster, easier or more accurate for a matched task.
Compare the documented workflows
| Requirement | InstaSights | PickFu |
|---|---|---|
| Response source | 250 simulated consumers per standard study. | Real people sourced for the selected audience. |
| Question scope | Up to 10 structured questions. | Documents surveys with up to 16 questions and mixed formats. |
| Written explanations | No open-text response questions in the standard offer. | Documents written feedback alongside quantitative answers. |
| Result review | Question results, audience comparisons, Excel and CSV. | Documents demographic breakdowns and AI-assisted summaries. |

Use a naming decision to choose between them
Suppose a fictional fragrance-free moisturizer has three possible names: Daily Ritual, Soft Form and Bare Theory. The decision is which names merit further testing. Show the same product description for every name, and decide whether appeal, category fit or a particular association is the primary question.
If you need people’s own explanations of an unexpected association, written human feedback is directly relevant. If you want a structured exploratory simulation and can work with predefined response options, review the InstaSights workflow and its limits. Our naming template supplies a concrete seven-question starting point, not results from a PickFu test.
Before comparing outputs, check whether the candidate exposure, questions, audience and valid bases match. A ranking, a first-choice vote and an individual rating answer different questions. Do not turn unlike metrics into a single winner score without explaining the rule.
Compare pricing units, then obtain the actual total
The InstaSights single-study offer lists $49.99 for 250 simulated consumers and up to 10 questions, including a $3 drafting allowance before drafting pauses. Review current inclusions and purchase terms.
PickFu’s pricing page, checked September 27, 2026, advertises pay-as-you-go responses starting at $1 each. It says pricing depends on question complexity, targeting and sample size, and offers subscription options. That starting rate is not a quote for the naming questionnaire above.
Do not multiply the lowest per-response rate by a desired count and assume it covers the complete design. Obtain a configuration-specific total, including questions and any plan commitment. We have not obtained a matched quote and make no numerical savings claim. Human and generated responses are different deliverables even if their record counts match.
When each belongs on your shortlist
Consider PickFu when actual consumer responses and written explanations are important to the decision. Check eligibility, the intended format, subgroup bases and output access for your selected plan. Its documented feedback workflow is a reason to investigate it, not proof that every audience or task is supported.
Consider InstaSights when exploratory generated reactions fit the stage of work, you want a structured study and exports, and you will retain the simulation disclosure. It is not the choice when the requirement is to hear from recruited people.
For either product, a preferred name does not establish legal availability or predict sales. Keep a follow-up plan for the evidence the study cannot provide. If the shortlist is close or measures disagree, preserve that ambiguity instead of declaring a definitive market winner.
Review the response format, exclusions and interpretation before deciding.
